Opened in September 2018, our 10,000sqm RIBA Award-winning home is situated in the heart of Peckham, one of South London’s most creative and dynamic neighbourhoods. Architecturally designed to be a ‘warehouse for the arts’, Mountview Peckham is the perfect place to take an exam and follow in the footsteps of so many talented and varied performers.

Why come to a Public Centre?

Public Centres are ideal for any teachers who have a small number of performers to submit or who don’t have a permanent venue in which to host exams. There is no minimum fee required to take exams at a Public Centre, so a teacher can submit as few or as many performers as they wish. When can I take my exam?

We have a range of exam dates scheduled across the year at Mountview Peckham which you can see below. If you are interested in booking exams at Mountview Peckham, yet none of the below dates are suitable, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us with information of alternative dates and how many performers you are looking to book.

What happens on the day?

1. When you arrive at Mountview Peckham, you will be greeted by our Exams team who will register you and ensure you have everything you need. Make sure you leave plenty of time for travel so that you arrive ahead of your warm-up slot (15 minutes allocated for Preview/Level 1/Level 2 and 30 minutes allocated for Level 3).

2. Following your warm-up, you will be welcomed into the examination room at your assigned slot time. If you are taking a solo exam, you will enter the room with the other performers in your Block ready to be both examinee and audience and remain for the duration of the Block. If you are taking a group exam, your group will enter together and prepare for your performance.

3. Facilitators or accompanists will enter the room at the start of any relevant exam and ensure that all sound equipment is working. Mountview Peckham will have a working sound system and piano in the examination room, but facilitators and accompanists need to be provided by the performer to operate or play the necessary music or sound files.

4. Start your exam! Try to remain in the moment throughout and enjoy working off other performers in the room, whether that is your audience for solo exams or your fellow performers for group exams.

5. Once the performance section of the exam is completed, the facilitator or accompanist will leave the exam, allowing the performers to complete their Reflection, if necessary. Any performers taking an Individual within a Group Performance qualification will be asked back into the examination room in the pre-assigned groupings for a group discussion.

6. All done! Once your performance is complete and you have participated in your Reflection components (if necessary), you are free to go. You will receive an email with your examination results within 20 working days of your exam taking place.

How do I book my exam?

Please fill out the form below to book a Solo Public Centre Exam. You will receive a payment link within 4 working days of your submission (usually sooner) which needs to be paid as soon as received. If you are submitting multiple performers, you can either fill in the form as many times as you need or you can download the Bulk Performer Template and upload it here once completed. Examination Liaison Details

An Examination Liaison submits the details of performers for examination and will be the contact for any queries. The Examination Liaison can be a teacher, parent, guardian or the learner themselves, so long as they are over the age of 18 years old. Following the exam, the Examination Liaison will receive the results of any performers they have submitted within 20 working days.
